Roxio launches Crunch for Windows

Roxio has launched a Windows version of its video to Apple conversion software.

Roxio Crunch is designed to convert videos for viewing on portable Apple media devices such as an iPod, Apple TV, and the iPhone in a one step process.

It works by converting a range of popular video formats including DVD-Video, MPEG1, MPEG2 and DivX files into a format recognised by Apple devices through transcoding technologies. A pre-defined device profile also claims to ensure high-quality playback regardless of the device screen size.

The Microsoft Windows version is available direct from Roxio for £29.99.
